Ecolabeling by FlexOn

The fate of our Planet is not indifferent to us, and concern for the environment is part of our mission, so it was a natural step to implement sustainable solutions for the self-adhesive materials we use, and thus prepare our offer in a new, clearer form.

We decided to divide our product range into two parts:

  • standard materials
  • ecological solutions

We are committed to creating awareness among customers about the use of ecological solutions. We want to intensively promote a sustainable approach in the packaging industry.

For this purpose, we have created 6 categories of ecological labels, so as to simplify the offer in this area, and to give customers the tools to communicate their desire to go green, to their customers.

They represent 6 different paths we have to choose from when wanting to reduce the negative impact of our packaging on the environment. Each category has been given its own name and a specially designed pictogram that defines it.

These pictograms are placed on our customers’ labels.

Below, in a nutshell, we have described the rules for the award of specific labels, as well as provided links to sites where we have already extensively explained what the use of this type of material entails and what it affects.

Less Waste Labels

In order for the labels we produce to carry the “Less Waste Labels” stamp, they must be made from one of the reduced-weight materials. The use of such a material leads to a number of environmental benefits, which you can learn more about here: link

Second Life Labels

With the label “Second Life Labels” we mark labels in the production of which, standard material has been replaced by material made with recycled raw materials. For more information on giving a second life to trash in label production, click here: link

Recycling Friendly Labels

Labels labeled as “Recycling Friendly” are labels for which the material has been selected in close cooperation with us to enable the packaging to be recycled as easily as possible. Read more here: link

Biodegradable labels

In order for the labels to be labeled biodegradable, they must be made from raw materials with a minimum of ‘OK Compost Industrial’ certification for both the face material and the adhesive. In addition, if they have a print, the certification must also cover the inks with which the print was made. You can read more about biodegradable labels here: link

Biobased Labels

The labels we mark with our “Biobased” pictogram are made of plant-based material, exclusively from renewable raw materials and from certified crops. Information on the ecological benefits of using such materials can be found here: link

Eco Desing Labels

The labels we mark with our “Biobased” pictogram are made of plant-based material, exclusively from renewable raw materials and from certified crops. Information on the ecological benefits of using such materials can be found here: link

The above 6 categories collect and group together the most important, in our opinion, currently available solutions that realistically reduce the negative impact of self-adhesive labels on the environment.

The choice of a particular category depends on many factors.

Contact us and we will be happy to help you choose the best way for you, so that together we can be more eco-friendly.
